I handed in a handbag with wallet and Ipad that I had found in the hallway outside of our room and the office/reception girl said she returned it to the guest five minutes after the hand-in.She was very grateful to us.
I disliked the height of the toilet and no hand rails for a person who needs them. Also the bkanket on the bed had old blood stains on it which I reported when I left. Seems the cleaners never noticed either.
My friends and I were not impressed with the customer serivce, the toilet in the room was broken (311), one of the beds was not made and had no appropriate bedding for my friend to use.
Staff were very helpful in assisting me into my room and providing me with a refreshment upon arrival.
No fridge or kettleb
The location is fantastic if you want to be centred in the cbd. The price is quite considering the location.
My only complaint is that the elevators weren't working well while I was there. They were very slow at times and there were a couple of times where the doors would open again after you pressed the "close doors" button. Besides that the stay at Formule 1 - Melbourne cbd was fine.
The location was fantastic and the hotel rate was worth it. The booking and check-in was simple and fast.
There is no availability of a car park. The room could have been equipped with a kettle and cups for drinking instead of having us guests to buy bottled water or make use of the kettle at the breakfast area which is on the same floor as the reception desk.
i stayed at this hotel at Jan this year, it was much cleaner than my last stay last week
It was easily accessible to the train, city sights and shopping areas.
Heater in the room did not work.
i like hotel formula 1 because it was easy access to all things i wanted to see and do . It was also very quiet no traffic noise.
needed more blankets on the bunks and beds
I liked the location as I have had 5 hip operations and I am not all that ambulant ; as a suggestion ; a rail could be put in the toilet on several of the rooms as I had difficulty in getting on and off the toilet . other wise it was clean the sataff were friendly enough ; and some tea making facilities wood be great . thank you leo hurst
No coffee or tea making facilities
Saw many of the tourist destinations whilst in Melbourne. Walked, tained or tramed everywhere. Location was brilliant. Great valve for money. If We did not stay with you we would have not come to Melbourne or just came for one or two nights. Very clean.
I think the rooms needed to have a few hooks around the room. As there was no hanging space it would have been good to have hooks. Especially in a family room; lots of clothes etc, towels and no where to put them.
Excellent location, basic facilities but does what it says on the tin. Surprisingly quiet for the location.
Lifts take f.o.r.e.v.e.r...
Excellent location in the city centre and low cost.
No free wi-fi in rooms. Internet is expensive
It's location is very good and whilst it is very basic, for a short stay with a group on a budget it would be hard to beat.
The bunks are not made and as the top bunk is quite high and they cannot be moved out from the wall it was very difficult to make. Also in one of the rooms we hired there was hair stuck to the blankets however the 2nd room was nice a clean. The metal ladders to the top bunks are metal rods and quite slippery so there is potential for injury.
